🐾 Puppy Adoption Process

At Los Companero Havanese, our goal is to ensure every puppy is placed in a loving, responsible home where they’ll be cherished for life.

While we can ship puppies when necessary, we always prefer that families come meet us in person to pick up their puppy whenever possible. Our dogs — and we — love meeting the wonderful people who will become part of our extended Los Companero family.

If you’re interested in adding one of our puppies to your home, please complete our [Puppy Reservation Form](link) to begin the process.

🌱 Raising Our Puppies

Every Los Companero puppy is raised with great care to become a confident, well-rounded individual. From the moment they’re born, our puppies receive early handling, socialization, and exposure to new sights, sounds, and experiences.

We incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), startle recovery, problem-solving, and enrichment activities to build resilience and curiosity. Each puppy is handled regularly by adults and children alike, learning that people are safe and kind.

As they grow, we introduce them to a variety of textures, objects, and environments — wood, metal, plastic, boxes, tunnels, mini agility equipment, and new smells — all designed to promote confidence and adaptability. Puppies are raised indoors in the heart of our home, with plenty of supervised outdoor playtime, weather permitting.

Each puppy receives individual training sessions to learn grooming manners, stay calm during vet exams, wear a collar and leash, and respond to gentle guidance using food lures. This early foundation makes the transition to their new homes smoother and less stressful for both puppy and family.

❤️ Our Commitment

All Los Companero puppies are sold with a written health guarantee and lifetime support from us.

I am deeply committed to every puppy I bring into the world — and that commitment doesn’t end when they leave my home. I will always take back any puppy I have produced, at any age and for any reason. No Los Companero Havanese should ever end up in a shelter or rescue. If life circumstances change, please reach out to me immediately — together, we’ll find the best solution for your dog.
