About
Welcome to LosCompanero Havanese
At LosCompanero Havanese, my passion for dogs has been a lifelong journey. I’m Heather Warnock, the breeder behind LosCompanero, and I have been dedicated to the Havanese breed since 1997. With more than 25 years of experience, I have had the privilege of sharing my life with these wonderful dogs — showing them, breeding them, training them and most importantly, loving them as cherished companions. We have bred numerous CKC Champions and Grand Champions and some hold trick titles as well.
Located on a beautiful acreage just 20 minutes north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, our Havanese enjoy plenty of open space to run, play, and explore. Our dogs are never raised in kennels — they live right in our home, underfoot and very much part of our family.
From the moment our puppies are born, they are lovingly handled and socialized. As they grow and begin to explore their surroundings, we provide a variety of planned experiences — gentle household noises such as music, vacuum cleaners, and engines, along with toys of different shapes and textures. Around five to six weeks of age (weather permitting), they are introduced to the outdoors, where new sights and sounds further enrich their development.
Our puppies also experience individual car rides, begin crate introduction for easier housetraining, and engage in age-appropriate play to build confidence and curiosity. Before leaving our home, each puppy is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and thoroughly health-checked.
New families receive a comprehensive puppy care package, including health records, pedigree, and a written health guarantee. All puppies are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, and registration papers are typically provided by the time your puppy reaches six months of age.
Our puppies are placed in loving, committed homes where they can thrive and bring joy to their families. They also benefit from socializing with our Briard, gaining early housetraining, and learning basic manners — giving them a great foundation for continued success in their new homes.
By the time they’re ready to leave us, our puppies are kennel-trained, responsive to their names, and well on their way to becoming exceptional family companions or performance dogs.
We incorporate some of the “Super Puppy” (Early Neurological Stimulation) program and elements of the Puppy Culture protocol, which together help produce confident, well-adjusted, and socially balanced Havanese.
At LosCompanero Havanese, our goal is to ensure that every puppy we raise is healthy, happy, and ready to become a cherished member of your family.
